Everything Writer’s Atelier Does

Friends, I am job hunting right now. I am the mighty and beautiful tigress, and my ideal prey is the elusive antelope. In this metaphor, the antelope is a full-time job in the writing world (with a 401k and good insurance, of course) that pays me well and also sparks joy.

Now, I am working desperately to capture that antelope, but like any reasonable tigress, I remain open-minded. Hares are tasty, too. I’d like my prey to be mammalian, of course, but tigers are also known to eat termites. Did you know that? Isn’t that weird? Can you even picture a tiger lickin’ up some termites?

What was I talking about?

Oh, yeah. I’m job hunting. So I am constantly tweaking my résumé to better suit the job for which I’m applying. Obviously, Writer’s Atelier always gets top billing, but it was only while swapping out bullet points for the millionth time that I realized how many services Writer’s Atelier offers. We’re not normally ones to brag, and as a result, we do not always make clear what all we have to offer to all you wonderful writers out there.

So, allow me to present WA’s CV.

Our Private Network

The network is absolutely free to join, so why wouldn’t you?

But in case you’re on the fence about it, know that our network is a safe, private space for you to interact with your fellow writers away from the cacophony of traditional social media channels. In addition to our regular blog post updates and chatroom to converse with other members, we also offer courses on subjects like building your author website and plotting your next novel. You’ll also get the chance to join special ticketed events such as The Write Brunch.

During National Novel Writing Month in November, we host weekly write-ins and offer advice, support, and free resources every step of the way.

Premium Courses for Writers

Remember the courses we mentioned above? Through our network, you can access courses, events, and event replays such as Writing Unputdownable Romance with USA Today Bestselling Author Melanie Harlow. We are working hard behind the scenes to upgrade our courses and bring you new ones.

And, from now until the end of July, you get to enjoy either one of two courses if you donate $50 or more to select organizations.

The Write Gym by Writer’s Atelier

The Write Gym, previously housed in a private Facebook Group, has moved to our private network!

What is The Write Gym? Designed to help both new and established writers, TWG is an accountability program run by writing coach Racquel Henry. When you join, you’ll be immersed in a like-minded group of writers who cheer you on at the weekly check-ins and provide support at the weekly write-ins.

Graphic Design & Branding Consultation Services

It is getting harder and harder to stand out in social media, and the responsibilities placed on writers’ shoulders only grow in number. While you have your hands full filming Reels and TikToks, why not outsource your social posts—or just about any other graphic design you might need?

Whether you know exactly what you want or this is the first time you’ve ever thought about hiring out, we deliver images you’ll be proud to call yours.

Website Design Services

Having a website nowadays is as essential as having a business card used to be. In fact, your website is a digital business card. It is or can also be a home base for readers who want more of your content, a place for readers to purchase signed copies of your books, a blog, a monetizable asset, and the one platform online where you have all the control.

If you’re interested in having a piece of the Internet to call your own without the hassle of setting it up yourself, WA offers such a service!

Cover Reveals & Other Blog Posts

In case we haven’t made this clear: We. Love. Writers. And we would love to showcase more writers on our site. We’re currently looking for the following:

  • Reflections/lessons on writing
  • How you overcame a difficult writing obstacle
  • Posts on the craft of writing/writing tips
  • Posts on publishing
  • Interviews with authors/publishing professionals
  • Cover reveals

Motivation, Tutorials, & More on YouTube

Need some motivation? Did you know that, in addition to posting them on our blog, Motivational Minutes are housed on our YouTube channel? And that’s not all we have. You’ll also find video-ified blog posts, free classes and tutorials, body doubling videos, and more!

PS. Algorithms are mean sometimes. If Meta isn’t delivering our content to you on Facebook or Instagram, subscribing to our YouTube channel will help to guarantee you still get your weekly doses of Writer’s Atelier.

Writery Swag

It’s a writing day. You’re off to your favorite little café (or, you know, another room, or ten feet from where you’re currently sitting) to get your words in. What are you using to haul around your writing instruments of choice, your notes, your novel planner (don’t worry, we got one of those), your Post-It Notes, and whatever other notes you happen to need? We currently have three lovely tote bags at a variety of price points to help you carry around your writing life—or store it when your desk has to transform back into the dining room table.

We also have lots of pretty things made in collaboration with Pretty Peacock Paperie, including greeting cards, stickers, and my personal favorite, a pink pencil emblazoned with JUST F*CKING WRITE in gold. I mean, it doesn’t get better than that!

Come on, you know you love us. Support our efforts by showing it, then tag us on social, and we’ll be sure to give you a shout-out!

Were you surprised to learn we offered any of these services? We’d love for you to spread the knowledge on social media and tag @writersatelier!

Megan Fuentes is an author and the former admin for Writer’s Atelier. Her favorite things in the world include iced coffee, 4thewords, Canva, and telling you about those things. And writing, too. And lists! When she's not obsessing over story structure or helping her family think their way out of an escape room, she hangs out with her partner, Logan—a fellow multi-hyphenate—and dotes on their dumpster kitty, Rochelle. You can find her books at Amazon.com and Bookshop.org. She also sells productivity printables via her Etsy shop. If you liked her blog post, consider buying her a coffee.
