The Total Package ($827)
This package might be for you if you’ve never had or built a website in your life, and you’re not sure where to start, start here!
Megan will deliver a Bluehost-hosted WordPress site customized to your brand from a template. Here are a list of pages you could potentially have on your author website once it’s complete (pending discussion re: what’s best for you and your needs):
- Home
- About
- Books (or, a page for each genre/series you’ve written)
- Blog
- Contact
- Newsletter Sign-up
- Secret/Password-Protected Page
- Page for a Privacy Policy*
Of course, every author is different, so naturally, every author website is different. Megan, for example, lets her blog act as my homepage on my personal website. You may prefer a pop-up to capture newsletter subscribers over a separate page, or you may want two secret pages for different types of readers or subscribers. Megan is happy to accommodate you, but websites requiring more than fifteen pages will be subject to additional $75 hourly charges.
*Though privacy policies are increasingly important, no one at Writer’s Atelier is a lawyer, and cannot evaluate your privacy policy for all the necessary components. Thank you for understanding.
Should the time spent on your website exceed ten hours, additional hourly charges will apply. Revisions are subject to a $75 hourly charge.
The Facelift Package ($427)
Do you already have a website, but require changes and updates you don’t have the time, skill, or willpower to implement? This is the package for you!
What’s Included:
- Changing your website’s theme
- Swapping out graphics, the color palette, and other branding implements
- Redesigning the look of existing pages
- Adding a way to capture newsletter subscribers
- The addition of no more than three pages
What’s Not Included:
- Transferring your website from one host to another
- Transferring your domain name from one DNS to another
- Setting up an email (newsletter delivery/management) service for you
Should the time spent on your website exceed five hours, additional hourly charges will apply. Revisions are subject to a $75 hourly charge.
A La Carte Selections
Branding Consultation ($159)
What colors make up your author brand? What fonts? Do you know what kind of stock photos speak to readers of your genre? Megan will need this information to be sure your website is tailored to you. Do you have it ready for Megan, or do you need some help visually capturing who you are as an author?
By the end of a two-hour-maximum Zoom call, you’ll have a PDF with a color palette, typography, and notes that will carry you through the website design process and beyond. Keep everything—from ad graphics to Google Forms—looking cohesive by referring to it again and again throughout your author career, and take the guesswork out of creating images.
Logo add-on: $25
Link-in-bio Page ($19)
You’ve seen Linktrees in Instagram and Twitter bios before, but what if your link in bio was actually YOUR link?
This page on your website will serve as one-stop shopping for mobile users discovering you through social media. When they click this link in your bio, they’ll be taken to a simple page with a column of buttons to tap and go. Send visitors to sign up for your newsletter, pre-order your next book on Amazon, and more—without sending them to a middleman.

Website Walkthrough ($119)
After your website is complete, you may find the idea of making changes on your own daunting. If you’re not the sort of person who likes to dive in and play around with buttons, features, and settings, the Website Walkthrough may be for you!
During this two-hour Zoom call, Megan will share her screen and walk you through the basics of making a post on your blog, editing existing pages, and answer any questions you may have about website maintenance and upkeep.
