The one and only Racquel Henry is back with a nugget of wisdom for us in Motivational Minute #91 on Writer’s Atelier TV!
One of the things Racquel hears most from writers is that they don’t have time to write. Well, this is a friendly reminder that you do have time!
The first thing you need to do is be really honest with yourself, and ask this question: are you serious about being a writer? If the answer is yes, then you’re going to have to make the time. You’re going to have to carve it out.
Sometimes you’ll have to wake up ten minutes earlier. Sometimes you’ll have to go to bed ten minutes later. Maybe it means you’ll have to write in the checkout line in the grocery store, or in the car line while waiting to pick up your kids.
You have to make the space for the creative life you want. You know how the saying goes. “If you want it badly enough, you’ll find a way. If not, you’ll find an excuse.”
