Motivational Minute with Paige Lavoie #131: Take a Break

Paige has transformed into the her Animal Crossing: New Horizons villager persona for Motivational Minute #131 on Writer’s Atelier TV!

(Seriously, y’all really should watch the video this week, or this blog post won’t make any sense towards the end.)

Right now, as most of us are working from home, it’s easy to feel a little sluggish. And honestly, it’s hard to take it all in and separate work hours from home hours.

See, Paige knows that, for whatever reason, her brain thinks it’s time to travel on over to Writing Land at, like, two o’clock in the morning, and that’s not cool!

You do not need to spend every single moment being productive. You can’t! You can’t edit for twenty-four hours or write for twenty-four hours. You need to sleep, eat, watch a movie, play a video game like Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and decompress.

Like Paige’s alligator friend Boots tells us, you may want to give it your all, but you also need to take care of yourself.

Happy writing!
