Motivational Minute with Paige Lavoie #94: Play Pretend

Paige is encouraging us to tap into our inner child and play pretend in Motivational Minute #94 on Writer’s Atelier TV!

We writers need to allow ourselves to play pretend. Take a cue from Paige herself, who is wearing a sweater and autumnal make-up in ninety-degree heat. Because, um, she’s a writer? And she’s trying to get inspired? Or she misses the Michigan weather?

Yeah, something like that.

Whatever the case, allow yourself to experiment by playing make-believe. Dress up if you please, then sit back and daydream about worlds and adventures and costumes and all of the things!

Exercise that wonderful imagination you had while growing up. You still have and utilize it every day as writers. Do everything you can not to lose it. Keep on dreaming and imagining, writer.

Happy writing!
