Here’s a picture of my office. The walls are a very pale pink, a color that fuels my inspiration.
I did not tidy it too much because I didn’t want to give you the wrong idea. I love a tidy office, but with the traffic it gets (roaming teens, most of all), it’s not always possible!
I had this desk specially designed in a semi circle shape to give me as much work space as possible. (Apparently the Brits used to use tables like this after their hound races to serve food.)
I don’t stick to specific writing hours because that’s not how my writing brain works.
Another place I “write” is along the river path by my house. Writing isn’t just about sitting at the desk and typing into the laptop. For me, most of the plotting, and dilemma solving, happens walking on the trail. It’s my secret weapon against writer’s block.
