Save the Date: Newsletters 101 for Writers with Racquel Henry

The number of platforms authors can use to find their readers is increasing at a wild rate. With each platform comes new algorithms and best practices to memorize, but there is only one place where authors can land in front of readers’ eyes without fighting for attention amidst constant noise: their own newsletter.

Newsletters are a powerful tool for writers to connect with their audience, share their stories, and build a loyal readership. Email marketing can be more effective and reliable than social media networks. A solid newsletter can help an author build meaningful, lasting relationships with their audience, and increase sales.

Get ready to learn how to build the newsletter of your writing career dreams in our latest workshop!

About the Workshop

In this class, Racquel Henry will teach writers how to harness the power of newsletters to engage their readers, promote their work, and grow their audience.

In this workshop you will learn:

  • Why an email list is important (even before you publish)
  • What to consider when choosing the right email management provider
  • What to include in a newsletter
  • How to build and grow their lists
  • An introduction to drip campaigns
  • How automation can save time

How to Join Us

This workshop will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2024, from 1 PM to 3 PM EST over Zoom inside of our online community.

To better support Writer’s Atelier, we kindly ask all participants to purchase their tickets using their laptop or desktop instead of on their mobile device through the app. Apple and Android take cuts—up to 30%—from sales on mobile devices, so this ensures more of your money goes where you intended to send it in the first place!

Once you have registered, you will automatically have access to the group event for the class as well as access to our free online community (hosted by Mighty Networks). All the information and instructions are inside this event group within the online community. It works very much like a Facebook group. This is also where you will find the Zoom access information for the class (under the Classes/Events tab). We recommend downloading the app and making sure notifications are turned on. Additionally, participants should RSVP to the Zoom event. Doing these two things will ensure you receive a notification 10 minutes before the event. Please also note that we do not offer refunds. If you have any questions, or need assistance, please email our admin: megan@writersatelier.com.

Can’t make it on the day of? Don’t worry—the class will be recorded, and claiming your spot grants you access to the replay.
