Motivational Minute with Racquel Henry #97: You Can Write a Novel in 30 Days!

Our very own Racquel Henry has come to us with words of wisdom pertaining to National Novel Writing Month in Motivational Minute #96 on Writer’s Atelier TV.

If you’re thinking about participating in National Novel Writing Month—also known as NaNoWriMo—and questioning whether or not you can do it, I want to remind you that you can indeed write a novel in thirty days.

If you’re like most writers, doubt is probably at the root of all your thinking lately. But if NaNoWriMo is already in your brain, then just commit to doing the task and seeing how far you can get. You owe it to yourself to at least try.

At the end of the day, if you don’t write 50,000 words, then you will have more words than you started with at the beginning of the month. Hopefully, you will also have made some new friendships through the NaNoWriMo and Writer’s Atelier communities.

You’ll also have a chance to try again next year, during Camp NaNoWriMo in both April and July, or even the following month if you so choose. So just try.

Happy writing!
