Motivational Minute with Racquel Henry #155: Your Next Chapter

Our founder and fearless leader, Racquel Henry has another sixty seconds of motivation to kick off your week!

This week, her advice is two-fold: to think about not just the next chapter of your work in progress, but the next chapter of your writing life. (You can read about what other writers such as yourself had to say about this topic—and contribute to the conversation—over here on our Instagram!)

Struggling to write the next chapter of your work in progress? Think about the awesome creator that you are. Isn’t it mind-blowing when you stop to think about it that you, and you alone (unless you’re collaborating, of course), get to decide what happens next? That’s a lot of power you wield. Lean into that energy.

As for the next chapter of your writing life, you get to write the story there, too. You get to decide how your writing life looks. Believe in yourself. Do the work.

If you don’t like where you are, MOVE! You are not a tree.

Jim Rohn

Remember that: you are not a tree. You can move. You can change things. You have that power. You are a radiant, creative writer.

Happy writing!
