Motivational Minute with Racquel Henry #149: Don’t Overthink It

Fearless leader Racquel Henry is back this week with a Motivational Minute that we know is coming at exactly the right time for some of our viewers.

This one is for the overthinkers. If you have a story that’s been brewing and you’ve been hesitant to write it, Racquel is here to encourage you to get your butt in the chair and write your story!

The longer that you hold on your story, the longer in the world has to wait for it. We can guarantee there is someone out there who needs your story. The world needs your story, and we need it the way only you can tell it.

So if you’re overthinking something in your project—your main character’s arc, those rising action chapters that don’t feel right (do they ever?), or even the next sentence—quit doing that! Focus on getting the words on the page. If you wait for perfection, you’ll never make progress.

Happy writing!
