Motivational Minute with Paige Lavoie #80: Your Writing Matters

Paige Lavoie has a very important reminder for us in Motivational Minute #80 on Writer’s Atelier TV: your writing matters.

Here, Paige isn’t talking about the writing that gets the movie deal and rave reviews. All of your writing matters. That means the short, the sweet, the sad, and the silly. All of it matters.

It doesn’t even have to be published to matter! While Paige was visiting her parents, she came across a collection of memories from her grandmother—including pictures, stories, poems, and musings from the Great Depression.

These wonderful finds weren’t written in pursuit of fans or fame. Paige’s grandmother recorded these moments for her family and for herself. And they matter.

The very important reminder is this: you should never forget the impact your words can have on yourself, your family, or even people you’ve never met before.

Happy writing!
