We are back this week with Motivational Minute #74! Our very own motivator in residence, Paige Lavoie, reminisces about the media she fell in love with in her youth.
Sometimes it’s fun to revisit things that you loved as a child or as a teenager, especially if you’re trying to get in the spirit of writing young adult novels like Paige does.
To help place her in the proper mindset, Paige has been listening to playlists from high school and rewatching anime like Sailor Moon (the characters of which make a special appearance on her shirt in the video).
Paige finds this helps her empathize with her characters, and it allows her to really dive into a younger her’s feelings, reliving the drama and the crushes of days gone by. She challenges you to watch, read, or otherwise enjoy content from your own past and let it inspire you this week.
