Motivational Minute #72 finds Paige Lavoie with a headache, and not the first of the week. They have been plaguing her for days now.
In a recent Motivational Minute, Paige allowed us to take a day off if we needed it. Now she’s reminding us that we can’t take every single day off from writing, even when you’ve got a killer headache.
How does she write through the pain? Paige recommends taking breaks from your bright, bright computer screen. Try handwriting in a notebook or dictating on your phone. Paige has been finding telling her story to Google Docs on her phone via the native dictation software super helpful, even with the occasional typos. Lately, she’s been reclining on her sofa with her head elevated, eyes closed, and headphones in to get her words in.
Be flexible. Try out new things. Write using different mediums. Don’t forget to drink a lot of water, take some ibuprofen, and do whatever else you need to do to write today.
Happy writing!
