On Motivational Minute #53, Paige Lavoie shares that she went grocery shopping and bought a ton of items that weren’t on her list. She was pretty excited about it! When it comes to grocery shopping, much like how a lot of people are with their stories, Paige felt like she needed to have a plan. But when she went grocery shopping, she did not have a plan. She walked into the store with a couple of loose “plot ideas” if you will, and then she let herself go crazy. The moral of the story for all the planners out there, is that it’s great to have a detailed outline, or a long grocery list, but sometimes it’s fun, even if it’s just a writing exercise, to let yourself go a little bit rogue. Because when you do, you could end up with pumpkin cheesecake…or an awesome story you weren’t expecting!
