Motivational Minute with Paige Lavoie #144: Give Yourself Time

Motivational Minutes have made their triumphant 2021 return to Writer’s Atelier TV! This week, Paige Lavoie is all glammed up for a new year and having a celebratory beverage with us because we deserve it.

We’re all very excited to say farewell to 2020, and in that excitement, you might over-schedule yourself. While goal-setting for the new year, Paige always tries to shove everything into the first quarter. That shoot-for-the-stars energy is great, but promising yourself you’ll write four novels by the end of March might be biting off more than you can chew.

Paige’s advice is to break your goals down, be realistic about your timelines, and above all, be kind to yourself. Not everything needs to happen during this first month of the year.

And stay tuned! This Wednesday, founder Racquel Henry will share with us her best tips on meeting our writing goals for the new year.

Until then, we raise our glasses to you, writer, and wish you the best of luck in accomplishing all that you wish to do in 2021!

Happy writing!
