Motivational Minute with Paige Lavoie #115: Clean Up!

Paige Lavoie talks about tidying up in Motivational Minute #115 on Writer’s Atelier TV!

Sometimes we have to clean up to get re-inspired and make our lives a little less chaotic. That could mean cleaning our living spaces, but it could also mean our manuscripts.

Or, in Paige’s case today, both!

Right now, Paige’s manuscript is looking really messy. Not in the grammar and spelling sense, but in the structural sense. Her chapters aren’t properly separated, and everything is just kinda thrown onto Scrivener.

After spending the morning reorganizing her manuscript—moving things around, adding a few words here and there—Paige is ready to go when she starts sprinting later. Already, she can see more clearly where she wants her story to go!

Similarly, Paige is doing a bunch of laundry because, hey, sometimes you forget to do laundry when you’re busy writing. Who hasn’t done that?

Take some time to tidy up for the new year. You’ll be glad you did.

Happy writing!
