Motivational Minute with Paige Lavoie #112: What Do You Love About This Story?

This week, Paige Lavoie asks us what we absolutely love about our own stories in Motivational Minute #112 on Writer’s Atelier TV.

We all get discouraged sometimes while writing our books whether or not it’s National Novel Writing Month. One minute you feel like you have the best idea in the world, and the next minute you feel like it’s definitely not good enough.

We all have those moments. Every writer.

If you’re feeling unmotivated and like maybe you should start over, Paige challenges you to write down five things that you love about your current story. Small things or big things. Take a moment and appreciate all that you’ve created so far.

In her NaNoWriMo 2019 story, Paige loves her characters’ aesthetics (rose gold hair!) and personalities, the time traveling woven into the plot, her heroine’s career, the humor, and all the opportunities to play with tropes that retelling Beauty and the Beast presents.

We’d love to know what elements of your story you’re loving right now in the comments below!

Happy writing!
