Motivational Minute with Angelique Bochnak #148: Have Faith in What Will Be

If there’s one thing Angelique Bochnak can say is true about pursuing a writing career, it’s that there are a lot of factors that are out of your control.

Try as you might, you can’t always control whether you have time to write, whether readers enjoy the story you’ve written, or—if you’re going the traditional publishing route—whether your work is accepted by an agent or publisher.

And things will go wrong. This can get especially hard for Angelique, who likes to feel in control of all things in her life.

When she starts to feel frustrated, Angelique will pull out a favorite quote.

“Accept what is, let go of what was, and have faith in what will be.”

Sonia Riccoti

Angelique has let go of what was, and she finds it easy to accept things as they are now. It’s that pesky third thing that trips her up sometimes. She struggles with trusting that the life she wants will come to her if she works for it.

As much as she tries to nudge fate in the right direction, sometimes you need to take a step back, breathe, and have faith that everything will work out the way it is supposed to be.

Happy writing!
