Motivational Minute #197: Word Counts May Fail, But Keep Trying

This week, Racquel encourages writers to try again when word counts don’t go as planned in Motivational Minute #197 on Writer’s Atelier TV!

Of course, this reminder is applicable to all writers, but Racquel is winking particularly at our Write Brave Challenge participants. With the challenge ending on October 15, we’re at the point where we may fall short on our word count. Life—or, in the case of our fellow Floridians and southerners, multiple hurricanes—can get in the way.

That’s why Racquel’s here to remind you again that the point of the challenge is to get you writing. Just because you didn’t hit a specific word count today doesn’t mean you can’t make up for it tomorrow—and even beyond the challenge. You will eventually get to the goal you’re trying to get to as long as you keep writing.

Happy writing, and stay safe during this hurricane season, friends!
