Motivational Minute #184: Writers, Forget the Pace

As always, this week’s Motivational Minute and the accompanying quote on our Instagram is inspired in part by Racquel’s own struggles in her writing life. Lately, Racquel’s been feeling like she’s moving slower than she’d like—like her pace is not matching the years of experience she has. She’s not matching her peers.

Maybe you’re feeling that way, too.

But Racquel—and you—can’t control the pace that the words come out. There are tricks and tips to write faster, but everyone has a ceiling. So what’s to be done?

  • Keep showing up.
  • Never sacrifice quality for quantity.
  • Keep taking chances.
  • Put yourself out there.

If you feel like your writing journey is taking longer than everyone else’s, remember not to worry about the pace. It’s all going to come together in the end.

Happy writing!
