Motivational Minute #167: The Relaxed Writing Plan

Racquel Henry has given us the gift of another Motivational Minute this week on Writer’s Atelier TV! And this one is packed, so strap in!

Racquel starts us off by encouraging us to be really intentional with writing goals this year. As the leader of our The Write Gym program (hosted within our online community), she’s devised what she calls a relaxed writing plan. Many writers feel pressured by the start of a new year to rush into their writing goals. But while everyone else is diving head first into their new year’s resolutions, Racquel likes to take (and would advise you to take) the entire month of January to sit with her goals and make sure they align with what she really wants to focus on.

Now, we’re not throwing shade at those of you who like to throw yourselves into your goals and ambitions for the new year. Have at it! But if that isn’t your style, know that there is another, more relaxed way.

Writer’s Atelier wishes you a happy, healthy, productive, prosperous, fulfilling, and fun new year full of words you love!

Happy writing!

If you want inspiration offline, have you heard that Racquel has written a mini book of affirmations for writers? It’s available in our shop!

We’d love to have you involved in our online writing community! Thanks for everything!
