WRITERS ATELIER

A SPACE FOR WRITERS FOUNDED BY A WRITER

I’m Racquel Henry, and I founded Writer’s Atelier to support fellow writers as a coach, editor, and speaker. My passion for words began at the age of three, and over the years, I’ve published fiction, nonfiction, and poetry in various literary magazines.

Writer’s Atelier holds a special place in my heart, and I am deeply appreciative of the vibrant writing community we’ve built. The core of our community thrives within our exclusive private network, and we would be thrilled to have you join us!

As a member of our network, you’ll enjoy early access to resources, member bonus workshops, group coaching with me to help your finish your projects, and a way to connect with like-minded writers in an environment free from the clutter and noise of other social media platforms.

Are you a writer struggling with writing consistently?

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why join the Write Gym?

Sometimes, you just need a support system. It has been proven that when you have friends along with you on the journey, you’re more likely to stay focused. You’ll also be surrounded by like-minded individuals who have similar goals and interests. The point of this program is to hold you accountable for your own writing, but that will be much easier when you have other writers cheering you on along the way.

What will we do in the weekly write-ins?

Write-ins are designed to get you writing. Consistently showing up, is one of the most important things you can do for your writing career. Writing regularly can be a genuine struggle for many writers. When write-ins are scheduled each week, writers feel like they have “somewhere to be.”

During our virtual writing sessions, we will spend the first half writing, and then the remaining time is used for office hours. It’s your time to shine or discuss struggles. Here you can talk about how you crushed a goal, and maybe it might help another writer. You can disclose breakthroughs. If you’re having a hard time keeping up or have a particular problem with your writing (plot, character, setting, etc.) you can also express that, and maybe we can help you iron it out. Racquel will also answer your writing questions. Each write-in is recorded so writers who can’t make the scheduled times can write on their own. Simply pick the time that works for you, schedule it on your personal calendar, and replay the recorded video.

Do you have special dietary options?

Yes, we offer an array of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. If you have other dietary requirements, please inform your server, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Who is The Write Gym For?

This program is for both new and established writers who are ready to get serious about their careers. Skillset is irrelevant since the point is to actually commit to your writing career and achieve writing goals. We welcome writers of any style and background!

Why would I pay for something I can do for free?

It’s true, this is probably something that you can do on your own. The thing is, most writers, and individuals in general, lose sight of their goals after January of the new year. Research has shown that most people give up on their goals between January 12th and 17th. The point of our program is to keep the momentum going to the end of the year, regardless of your writing career goal. Plus, chances are, you’re going to stick with it if you put your money where your mouth is and if you have a supportive community. Additionally, you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing that your money will help a small business succeed, which will also help us better serve the writing community.

Can I bring my own wine, and is there a corkage fee?

We do not allow guests to bring their own wine, beer, or spirits to our restaurant. We have an extensive beverage menu, including a wide selection of wines, beers, and cocktails for you to enjoy.

If I didn’t have the weekly write-ins, I would have lost the drive and motivation to sit down and work on my own stuff. But having a group to meet with makes it more fun and less like work.
