Even YouTube, the online video platform, has caught on to how popular the vertical video format is and added a Shorts tab to their mobile app’s menu.

Vertical Video Package ($45)
Megan (that’s me!) will produce three vertical videos suitable for TikTok and Reels of no more than one minute in length using either footage provided to her by you (such as a page-flip of your paperback or hardcover book) or stock footage.
We know creating videos can be frustrating. It takes a lot of patience, especially if you’re new to video editing. I first started messing with video when I got my first MacBook Air after college. The iMovie program came preloaded, and—as anyone who knows me will attest—I love to press all the buttons. I messed around until I had the skills edit videos for Writer’s Atelier TV and produce book trailers, like this one for T.J. Logan. It was an easy transition from full videos to the bite-size snippets that have launched so many authors to the top of Amazon’s charts.
And I’m happy to share my skills! Coming this Friday, I’ll post a video how to create an easy page-flip vertical video. But if even after that video, you still think it’s more trouble than it’s worth to learn a new skill on top of all the other writing and marketing and administrative tasks you’ve taken on, well…
