Motivational Minute with Racquel Henry #150: Every Writer Has Their Journey

We are back with our first Motivational Minute for the latter half of 2022, starring our fearless leader, Racquel Henry!

This week’s MM is for the writer who isn’t where they want to be right now. (That writer is often Racquel herself, so she knows what she’s talking about!)

You’re probably looking around and thinking, Why is this taking so long? You might be in the thick of drafting the rising action of your novel, burnt out and dying to get to the exciting ending already. You might be impatient to get that first (or another) acceptance letter from an agent, literary magazine, or small press. You might be doing everything you know how to do and still find yourself staring at sales numbers that should’ve gotten a boost by now.

But Racquel wants to remind you that every single writer has their journey. It’s unique. Inimitable. Your job is to love yours. Because at the end of the day, your journey is going to make a great story.

If you enjoyed this free video, check out our new, FREE community, the Writer’s Atelier Online Community. It is officially the way to keep up with all things WA!

Also, be sure to check out our YouTube channel and subscribe if you haven’t already! It’s a great, easy, FREE way to support all we do here at WA.

If you want inspiration offline, have you heard that Racquel has written a mini book of affirmations for writers? It’s available in our shop!

We’d love to have you involved in our writing community! Thanks for everything!
