The Write Mindset, Ep. 6: Write State of Mind with Amy Christine Parker

Note: You can listen to this episode of the podcast on most platforms if you prefer.

We’re back with another one of our segments, Write State of Mind, where we interview authors about mindset, their processes, and their journey. This week we have Amy Christine Parker! In this episode we discussed:

  • Writing what you love
  • Having that next hope
  • Making your own luck
  • Passion outweighing fear
  • The yearning to be a writer
  • Perfectionism
  • The mindset to continue when things fall apart
  • Discomfort
  • The self-confidence crisis

Amy Christine Parker earned her degree in elementary education at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida, and then proceeded to try out many different jobs, including collectible doll maker, fondue waitress, and inner-city schoolteacher. It wasn’t until she became a mom and began making up bedtime stories for her children that she finally realized what she was meant to do. Now Amy writes full-time from her home near Tampa, Florida, where she lives with her husband, their two daughters, and one ridiculously fat cat. She is the author of three novels published with Random House: GATED, ASTRAY, and SMASH & GRAB. Visit her at amychristineparker.com.

Amy hangs out on Instagram, Twitter, and her Facebook page.
