New On-demand Class: The Write Meditation for Stress and Anxiety with Rita Sotolongo

As many of you know, Writer’s Atelier believes that the foundation for any successful writing career starts with adopting the correct mindset. We also believe that mindset work is something that must be practiced on a daily basis. There are many ways to work on your mindset, but one of the most successful ways is through meditation.

Last year, we reached out to one of our favorite yoga and meditation instructors, Rita Sotolongo, and asked her if she could put together a meditation series specifically for writers. Rita has led both meditation and yoga sessions for our writers at our annual retreats for the last few years. This class has been in the works for about a year, so trust us when we say we put our whole hearts into it!

Per Rita, “The Write Meditation for Stress and Anxiety is a 21-day course designed to introduce multiple meditation methods to alleviate stress and anxiety experienced during the writing process. Through short body scan meditations and using breathwork techniques, writers learn how to detach from the emotion tied to anxious thoughts and how to observe them with a neutral acceptance. The result is a calmer mind and an education in developing a personal meditation practice moving forward.”

The class features twenty-one days of guided meditation sessions:

While the meditations cannot be downloaded, you will be able to access them through a private section of our website and through a private YouTube link (should you want to take them mobile through the YouTube app).

The regular investment for this class will be $45, but while we are under stay-at-home orders, and because this is a difficult time for everyone, we have decided to offer 50% off with discount code TWMRS20. We will assess when regular prices will resume at the appropriate time. We will also be putting one free session from the class on The Write Mindset Podcast next week, in addition to a separate episode featuring Rita.

We truly hope this class is helpful!

In the meantime, we would like to officially welcome Rita to the WA team! You can expect more classes like this from Rita in the near future!
