The 11th Write Brunch feat. Liara Tamani (Virtual)

Description: Maybe this year hasn’t gone exactly as you planned when it comes to your writing. But what if you could let July feel like January? There’s still plenty of time left in 2026. So let’s reset. Let’s reframe our thinking about the middle of the year.

We’re switching things up a bit for our 11th brunch. The format this year will be conversation style between Liara and Racquel, the founder of Writer’s Atelier. We will be discussing the things that hold us back as writers. Attendees will leave refreshed and ready to make the most of the last half of the year! Participants will also receive a writing inspiration envelope in the mail (prompts, postcards, stickers). A Q&A will follow the conversation.

Some topics we’ll be discussing: How to settle on goals, come up with a plan, and stick to it; How to balance writing life with your personal life; Self criticism; On taking your time (flow > force); Facing fear; What to do about imposter syndrome; Handling rejection.

Ever get stuck when writing and don’t know how to fix it? Are you a burnt out plotter or a pantser who has never written an outline? This class will help you learn how to write a basic outline to a complete zero draft that will set you up for success as a novelist. You will learn how plot structure and story beats intersect with genre to create a complete outline of your project that tracks plot, character, theme, setting, and more. Become a confident plotter by analyzing other novels, creating your own outline, and turning it into a zero draft that will get your word count from zero to a complete novel.
