Helen: A Literary Magazine based in Las Vegas, Nevada is holding their first short story competition. They are seeking short fiction between 500-5,000 words that honor the theme: “Strong Female Lead.”  All submissions will be read blindly. Entry fee includes a year-long PDF subscription. The winning story will receive $100 and publication in the inaugural issue. All entries will be considered for publication.

Cider Press Review is now accepting manuscript submissions for the 2014 Editors’ Prize Book Award for a first or second book of poetry.

The annual Cider Press Review Editors’ Prize offers a $1,000 prize, publication, and 25 author copies of a book length collection of poetry. Author receives a standard publishing contract.
